CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS (GF, D)

CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS | makes 6 lettuce wraps | 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 kg ground chicken
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 habanero pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • garam masala (available at your local indian grocery store)
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • boston lettuce
  • cheddar cheese
  • 1 avocado
  • sour cream (optional)
  • nando’s peri-peri garlic hot sauce (you can buy it here)

STEPS

  1. heat a little butter and add minced garlic and chopped onion
  2. add olive oil
  3. add cumin powder, garam masala, and coriander powder
  4. add the ground chicken and cook while stirring constantly
  5. add salt to taste
  6. cover and finish cooking
  7. assemble in the following order: boston lettuce, ground chicken, avocado, sour cream, shredded cheddar, nando’s sauce
