CHICKEN SOUP | makes 4-6 bowls of soup |


  • 8 cups water
  • 1 medium whole chicken
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • garam masala (available at your local indian grocery store)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • sea salt to taste
  • 8-10 brussels sprouts
  • 4 small radishes
  • 1 handful shitake mushrooms
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 cup gluten free pasta shells


  1. boil water in a big pot and add salt until it tastes like sea water
  2. add your whole chicken to the pot
  3. boil until the chicken is about 75% cooked
  4. take out the chicken
  5. add the following to the pot: sliced garlic, quartered radish, sliced celery, and quartered brussels sprouts
  6. in a separate pan, heat some olive oil and add garlic, cumin powder and garam masala, then toss this mixture into the pot
  7. add the pasta to the pot
  8. tear apart the chicken and toss it back into the pot
  9. serve hot
