INDIAN MASALA TEA (VG, GF, D)

INDIAN MASALA TEA | makes 2 cups of tea |

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tsp black tea leaves (your choice)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2cm ginger
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 whole green cardamon 
  • raw sugar to taste
  • 1/3 evaporated milk (approximately)

STEPS

  1. boil water (to 212F) and add tea leaves along with ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamon
  2. allow to steep until dark
  3. add evaporated milk until you get a cappuccino color (the 1/3 cup is an estimate)
  4. sweeten with raw sugar
  5. serve in a hippy container
  6. enjoy by itself or with biscuits
