SPICY COFFEE LAMB CHOPS | makes 10 lamb chops |


  • 10 lamb chops
  • 1 tbsp whole coffee beans
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red chili
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lime
  • 6 tbsp yogurt
  • 3 jalapenos


  1. heat 1/4 of the butter and 1/2 olive oil in a pan - the best type of pan to use would be a cast iron pan
  2. add some cumin, salt, and garlic until golden brown, and then add 1/2 lime's worth of juice
  3. set aside
  4. make a mix of finely ground coffee, cumin, red chili powder, garam masala, sea salt, black pepper, and yogurt (add all of the dry ingredients in a coffee grinder and grind it up as if you were making espresso)
  5. rub the mix onto the lamb chops
  6. heat the same cast iron grill pan and add butter and olive oil
  7. grill lamb chops on both sides and add the jalapeños, you want to cook them until brown on both sides and an internal temperature of about 120F
  8. put the pan in the oven, covered at 400F for about 15 minutes (to an internal temperature of about 160F
  9. put the lamb chops on a cutting board and spoon over the garlic mixture from before, drizzle with freshly squeezed lime juice
