TANDOORI CHICKEN (GF, D)

TANDOORI CHICKEN | makes 1 whole chicken | 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 tbsp tandoori masala (you can make this yourself)
  • 1/3 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • kosher salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lime
  • coriander

STEPS

  1. make a marinade consisting of: olive oil, yogurt, tandoori masala (some day I'll put up a recipe of how to make this yourself), garlic paste, ginger paste, and salt
  2. rub your chicken with the marinade (or if you're awesome - you can marinate in a bag and keep it in the fridge overnight) - use a flavor injector if you have one
  3. put some potatoes, and onions in the bottom of a pan and place the chicken on top
  4. squeeze some fresh lime juice on top
  5. sprinkle some red chili powder on your chicken
  6. toss some chopped cilantro all over for garnish
  7. roast away for about 1 hour at 400F to an internal temp of 180F
