TURKEY STUFFED WITH RICE | makes 1 medium turkey | 


  • 1 medium turkey
  • 10 cloves of garlic
  • 2 medium white onions
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 2 tbsp cumin powder
  • 4 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 3 tbsp all spice
  • 2 cups rice
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter


  1. give your turkey a nice bath and dry it off
  2. take a pot and heat some olive oil, toss in chopped garlic and chopped onions and cook until they turn brown
  3. add cumin powder, coriander powder, all spice, salt, and black pepper to your mix
  4. toss in your rice
  5. add water (slightly more than twice the amount of your rice) and bring it to a boil and then simmer it until the rice is 75% cooked
  6. go find your turkey and rub it with a mix of olive oil, paprika, salt, black pepper, cumin, and lemon juice
  7. if you have a flavor injector, now is the time really have some fun with it
  8. place your turkey in a pan and toss in whole crushed garlic everywhere that they can fit
  9. toss some large cut pieces of onion around the pan
  10. take your not so done rice and stuff the turkey, stuff it full
  11. place some thinly slices of butter on the turkey, this will help the skin get crispy brown
  12. cook your turkey in the oven for a few hours covered, about 3 hours at 425F to an internal temp of about 180F
  13. regularly check on your turkey and bast it in is juices
  14. once your bird is almost dune, cook it for a bit longer uncovered and watch as it takes on a beautiful brown color
  15. serve it with your rice stuffing
